208370 miles, 6,440 miles since last in January. Meh. I stuck a magnet on the drain plug from a (harbor freight) nut driver bit a couple oil changes ago.
Those smears on the toilet paper are the metallic bits.
2-ply
Only the best for this BEAST!
2 1/4 quarts out and 5 quarts in.
Note: toilet paper does not substitute for shop towels.

Few of my retired T-shirts are white, so while they make for geat shop rags, I still like to use TP for wiping dipsticks and checking oil color. Besides, I keep a roll of TP handy in the garage for blowing my nose anyway.

I don’t think any of my cars have had magnetic plugs. Those shavings are a warning sign, right? Or is that just a concentrated example of normal wear?

This was the oh-shit roll I keep in the car. It’s almost empty.

My old truck would throw an oil light until the oil pressure dropped to zero......
